Brownies



1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).Grease and flour an 8 inch square pan.
In a large saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter.Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla.Beat in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt, and baking powder.
Spread batter into prepared pan.Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Do not overcook.If you want to have frosting, combine 3 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, 1 tablespoon honey, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 cup confectioners' sugar.
You should frost brownies while they are still warm.

As if a tequila shot is not enough to rev up the mood, the remaining ingredients will add zest to the party. A fun drink for all.

Ingredients:

Tequila 30ml
Orange juice 60ml
Tomato juice 90ml
Worcestershire sauce 10ml
Lemon juice dash
Salt & pepper pinch
Ice

Method:

1. Fill the old fashioned glass with ice
2. Blend all the ingredients
3. Pour it over the ice in the glass

Garnish:

Lemon wedge on a salt-rimmed glass

Milk Laddus




for the dough

Milk powder - 10 heaped tbsp
Sugar - 1 tsp
Egg - 1 small
Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp

for the syrup

Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 2 cups


Knead the ingredients of the dough into a stiff dough (Sprinkle water if needed)
Make balls out of the dough. Boil the sugar syrup and drop the balls slowly into it while simmering the syrup. Sprinkle sugar every 5 min over the balls in the syrup
When the sugar syrup is almost dry, remove from fire and cool the balls on a plate
Roll each ball on a plate of milk powder to give it a dry coating

Refrigerate and serve cold.

pakoda




250 grams besan
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1/2 tsp. red chilly powder
1 tsp. dried pomegranate seeds
1 tsp. Coriander paste
1 medium sized onion, chopped
1 medium sized potato, chopped
1 green chilly chopped.
Salt to taste




Mix all the ingredients to make a thick batter. Heat oil in a frying pan. Drop chunks of the batter in hot oil and fry till light brown. Drain cut into small pieces using a blint knife and re fry till crisp. Serve hot with green chuttney and tamarind chutney

vegetable pancakes



250 grams Besan
3 tbsp Maida
2 tbsp cornflour
3 tbsp rice flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 Potato (large) finely chopped
1 carrot (large) finely chopped
2 onion, chopped
1/2 cumin powder
1/2 turmeric powder
3 spring onions, finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1-1/2 cups (375 ml) oil
1 cup (250 ml) water, approximately
Salt and red chilly powder to taste
300 ml water
Oil for shallow frying.

Method

Mix all the ingredients and make a thick batter with water. Keep aside for 10 minutes. In the mean time grease a pan and heat it. Now drop the batter in 2'' rounds in the pan fry till deep yellow on both the sides. Serve hot with green chutney or tomato ketchup
